What is MobileHog?

MobileHog is an independent mobile app for iPhone and Android that shows your PostHog dashboards, insights, web analytics, events, errors and more. It connects to PostHog Cloud (US or EU) or a self-hosted instance, reads with read-only permissions, and keeps your credentials on your device.

Every chart type was redrawn for a screen you hold in one hand. Where the desktop idiom doesn’t survive the trip, MobileHog picks the one that does.

Pies become ranked bars.

A pie on a phone is a guessing game. A ranked list gives every label a full line and every value a length you can compare.

Stacks run sideways.

Vertical stacks leave category labels 40 points wide. Horizontal rows give the label a line and the bar the full width.

Your data goes to PostHog. Nowhere else.

  • Read-only, by design

    MobileHog asks PostHog for read permissions only. It can’t edit a dashboard, flip a flag or delete anything, even by accident.

  • Credentials stay on your phone

    You sign in on PostHog’s own page. The token lives in the iOS Keychain or Android Keystore, and nowhere else.

  • No MobileHog servers

    Your phone talks to PostHog directly. There is no backend in between that could see, store or leak your data.

  • Easy on your query quota

    Dashboards read PostHog’s cache first and only recalculate when you pull to refresh. Nothing polls in the background.

Is there a native PostHog app for iPhone and Android?

MobileHog is one. It’s an independent, native app that shows your PostHog dashboards, insights, web analytics, recent events and errors on your phone. It signs in with your PostHog account and reads your data directly from PostHog.

Is MobileHog made by PostHog?

No. MobileHog is an independent product built for PostHog users. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by PostHog, Inc.

Is it safe to connect my PostHog account?

MobileHog asks only for read permissions and never for write access, so it can’t change anything in your project. You sign in on PostHog’s own page, and the resulting token is stored in the iOS Keychain or Android Keystore on your device. MobileHog has no servers of its own: your data travels between your phone and PostHog, nowhere else.

Does MobileHog work with PostHog Cloud EU and self-hosted PostHog?

Yes. Sign in with your PostHog Cloud account and MobileHog detects whether your project lives in the US or EU region. Self-hosted instances connect with a personal API key and your instance’s address.

Can I edit dashboards or toggle feature flags?

Not today. MobileHog is read-only by design, which is also why it never needs write permissions. Editing stays in PostHog on your computer.

Will MobileHog use up my PostHog query quota?

As little as possible. Dashboards show PostHog’s cached results first and only recalculate when you pull to refresh. Nothing runs in the background: MobileHog only asks PostHog for data while you’re looking at it.

Is MobileHog a subscription?

No, and it won’t be. MobileHog is free to download. When Pro arrives, it will be a single one-time purchase inside the app, with no monthly or yearly fee.

Which platforms are supported?

MobileHog is coming to iPhone and Android. It isn’t in the App Store or Google Play yet.
